Anna has represented the Candovers Division since 2001, and her work for the County Council has concentrated on services for people. She is Chairman of the Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee and also sits on Select Committees for Childrens' Services, Safe and Healthy People, and Policy and Resources. She shares the concerns of her constituents in the villages round Basingstoke about increasing levels of traffic and noise pollution and has actively campaigned for lower speed limits where villagers want them, and against noisy and unsuitable activities close to people's homes. She and her husband live on a farm and have four married sons and twelve grandchildren.

Marilyn is widowed and has one daughter, Sarah. She has been a Basingstoke & Deane Borough Councillor for over 30 years, specialising in Planning and the Environment. She was Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane in 2000/01.
On the County Council she is a member of the Regulatory (Appeals) Committee and the Environment and Transportation Select Committee. She has recently been elected on to the Hampshire Fire and Rescue Authority. As a member of both authorities she has been elected to represent them on many outside bodies.
