The Southern Parishes consist of Boarhunt, Denmead, Southwick and Widley, Whiteley and Wickham.

Freddie is a former Mayor of Winchester and is executive member for finance on Winchester City Council. He is a former journalist, is married and has two sons, two daughters and nine grandchildren.

He serves on the Children and Young People Select Committee and Pension Fund Panel. He is Vice Chairman of the Winchester Road Safety Council, Chairman of the Fair Oak Sandpit Advisory Forum, and a member of the Fareham and Gosport Foster Panel. He represents Hampshire on the South Downs Joint Committee, the West of Waterlooville Forum and the Fort Nelson Advisory Council. He is a Governor of South Downs College.

Current local projects include improving access to Whiteley, providing a children’s centre in the Denmead area, speed limit restrictions in Wickham and road repairs in Southwick.
